About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who knows how to identify, qualify, and close high-value software development contracts. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients — managing discovery calls, writing tailored proposals, and guiding prospects from first interest through signed agreement. You understand the software development lifecycle well enough to have intelligent technical conversations, even if you are not a developer yourself.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in agency sales, B2B IT consulting, or software development business development.
  • Excellent English communication skills — written (proposals) and verbal (discovery calls).
  • Proven track record closing software development or digital agency deals above ₹5L.
  • Experience qualifying leads using frameworks like BANT or MEDDIC.
  • Strong commercial acumen: ability to scope, estimate, and price custom software projects.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools for pipeline management and follow-up scheduling.
  • Conceptual understanding of web, mobile, and AI development processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to signed contract and project kickoff handoff.
  • Conduct high-quality discovery and scoping calls to understand client needs and budgets.
  • Draft and deliver custom proposals and commercial estimates with the technical team.
  • Manage the sales pipeline in HubSpot, maintaining accurate deal stage tracking.
  • Develop and execute outbound lead generation strategies on LinkedIn and via email.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships for repeat business and referrals.
  • Report weekly on pipeline health, deal velocity, and revenue forecasts.

Nice to Have

  • Existing network of founders, CTOs, or product managers at funded startups.
  • Experience selling AI, SaaS, or mobile app development services.
  • Familiarity with international markets (US, UK, UAE, or Southeast Asia).
